I'd been in chronic pain on and off for over 12 years in my hip, low back and ankle. Nothing debilitating, but enough of an annoyance that I haven't been living my passions-- I'm not dying, but I haven't been thriving. I've been to physical therapist before, as well as a podiatrist, an osteopathist, a couple chiropractors, a few massage therapists, and a few Yoga teachers, and have accumulated enough knowledge that I've known I was on the right path for myself by pursuing Yoga and Ayurveda.
Meeting with Manu seemed like a great opportunity, because he has all of the knowledge and skills of a physical therapist, and includes the mind/body awareness inherent in Yoga and Ayurveda. So when I met with Manu, all that I'd been learning "clicked" and fell into place-- I now have a blueprint for how to build my health and longevity.
Because I'd already had some exposure to Ayurveda, we ended up having a longer session going into depth about exactly what my body specifically needs to help me heal from this pain. He seems to enjoy his work and is happy to share what he knows. I found this so much more pleasant than the experiences I've had with my first physical therapist, who seemed almost impatient and annoyed with my development-- this really makes a difference when you're in physical therapy!
Even though we've only met once, Manu has continued to be supportive of my process as I actually practice what I know... cuz having a working blueprint of your own health is truly amazing, but actually practicing what you've learned is where the real work starts.
I can imagine that if you've never had any exposure to what Ayurveda's about, Manu understands it so well that he can break it down for you and show you the practical, common sense and very beneficial applications of this perspective. I look forward to attending his workshop on Ayurveda and children with my family later this month :-)

Over the last few years I have had chronic health problems especially a shoulder impingement syndrome and have had light aches and pains due to a prescribed fibromyalgia syndrome. I have had physical therapy periodically and took a prescription drug to help me sleep at night. When I consulted Manu, his approach to my health issues was holistic, embracing both Western and Eastern medical theory. His experiences as a physical therapist and his understanding of Ayurvedic living and yoga were a great combination to create for me a balanced approach to wellness. The time that Manu spent during the initial consultation was invaluable. The information I learned about myself and ways to improve my health exceeded any interaction with other health care providers. Manu not only recommend herbal medicines to match my doshic constitution, but he prescribed a daily routine with recommended specific dietary foods. In addition, he enhanced my yoga practice and gave me insight into my physical therapy program. He was patience and understanding in working with my health issues which enabled me, over time, to make the necessary changes in my way of living. Without reservation I recommend Manu as a health consultant and life style manager.

My husband and i consulted Manu because of health issues. After his analysis of our physical and mental biodata, he prescribed the herbal medicines. We started taking the herbal medicines last March with diligence. After 3 months we have observed improvements. My husband's white blood cells has increased and his digestive system has improved.Mu energy level has increased. I have weight loss and maintaining my ideal weight and good sleeping patterns. At first, we were skeptical but the laboratory analysis confirmed the improvements. Last but not the least, I had a sudden onset of low back pain and increased blood pressure last June. My doctors prescribed pain medication and monitored for hypertension. I did not take these pain medications because of the possible long term side effects. I consulted Manu again and he made some adjustments to my herbal medicines.I am now almost pain free and my blood pressure is normal. My husband and I seem to maintaining a good immune system since we don't get sick easily. We highly recommend Ayuverdic medicine because it is very effective without the multiple side effect of drug prescription.
